Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers and the invaluable feedback from our users and partners, the first two months of this year have been nothing short of incredible. We continued to make significant strides in improving dementia care with two huge updates:
📱 We are now available on the Apple App Store and Google Play!
💚 In Victoria, Carer Gateway (Holstep Health, formerly Merri Health) can cover the CARER tool’s modest cost, based on your needs.
SUPPORTING VICTORIAN CARERS
We’re incredibly grateful to Carer Gateway Holstep Health (formerly Merri Health) for recognising the needs of carers in Victoria and partnering with us to make My Dementia Companion CARER more accessible.
If you’re a carer in Victoria, you may now have your annual fee covered by the Carer Gateway program, depending on your dementia care needs. We’ve made getting started easy—just follow these three simple steps:
Beyond My Dementia Companion, Carer Gateway also provides additional support, including counselling, respite care, and more.
We are working hard with Carer Gateway partners in other states to make this accessible for carers all around Australia. We will keep you updated!
NOW AVAILABLE ON THE APP STORE & GOOGLE PLAY
One of our biggest milestones is launching My Dementia Companion CARER and PRO as an app on both the Apple App Store and Google Play!
We know that carers and professionals often need support on the go —whether it’s late at night, during a home visit, or while waiting for an appointment. Now, accessing best-practice dementia care is easier than ever, right from your phone or tablet.
And don’t worry, My Dementia Companion still works seamlessly on your computer, with your account linked across all devices for both CARER and PRO tools.
HOW WE CAN SPPORT YOU
To ensure My Dementia Companion is as helpful as possible, we’ve updated our website, flyers, and resources to reflect these exciting changes. We’ve also begun refresher training and in-service sessions with our existing partners and customers.
If you think we can support you, whether you’re a carer group, aged care provider, clinic, or organisation, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’d love to help.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Your support and feedback continue to shape My Dementia Companion and help us make a meaningful difference in the dementia care community.
